Le mot entropie, issu du grec en (dans) et trope (changement), signifiant littéralement « transformation intérieure », résonne à travers les créations de Broin. Mais le lien que ces formes entretiennent avec l’entropie demeure complexe, ambivalent.
Avec Triste Entropique, Michel de Broin révèle une série de nouvelles œuvres qui se dressent comme les monuments d’un monde dissipé. Idoles de l’épuisement et de la perte, elles condensent des flux impalpables dans leur forme minérale. Dissolution et intensité, effacement et effusion traversent en filigrane les surfaces de l’exposition, qui captent ces forces fugitives et les retiennent, un instant, dans le temps et l’espace.
