Mathieu Grenier is a contemporary artist based in Montreal. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, obtained in 2020, during which he had the opportunity to do an exchange at the Royal College of Arts in London, UK. He also completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual and Media Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2011. His recent solo exhibitions include Crystal Gazers at Blouin Division, Toronto (2024), Chrysotile Activés at Diagonale Art Center, Montreal (2024), and Bleu somnolence: 33% at Galerie B-312, Montreal (2023). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Experiments in Seeing: Russell Lee’s Pedagogical Legacy at the University of Texas Visual Art Center (2026). Grenier’s work is held in national and international collections, including at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art, the Musée d’art de Joliette, the Centre d’art de Vénissieux in France, and the Schloss Arenberg Collection in Belgium.
