Blouin Division is pleased to present Reflecting Pools, an exhibition of recent works by Karine Fréchette. Based on digital sketches where scientific images and media representations are reworked, the colour-saturated compositions play with visual and material distortion. Waves, whether those of the solar cycle or of telecommunications, remain a central theme for Fréchette. As well as flat canvases, the exhibition includes three-dimensional works that affirm the corporality of painting and play with the viewer's perception, activating optical and oscillatory sensations.
